Family AI Rules Printable
A printable family agreement for AI tools, chatbots, homework, privacy, images, emotional use, and unsafe outputs.
AI rules need to be their own section in the family tech agreement. AI is not just another website; it can answer, persuade, roleplay, generate images, help with homework, and become emotionally sticky.
A family AI printable should cover privacy, homework honesty, emotional dependence, image generation, medical or legal advice, and what to do when an AI response is sexual, scary, manipulative, or confidently wrong.
The goal is not to make children afraid of AI. It is to help them use powerful tools with adult-level guardrails.
Parent Checklist
- Do not share full name, school, address, passwords, private photos, family conflict, or secrets with AI tools.
- Follow school rules for homework and disclose AI use when required.
- Do not use AI companions as the main support for loneliness, fear, self-harm, or relationship problems.
- Check important answers with a person or trusted source.
- Show an adult if AI content becomes sexual, threatening, self-harm related, or secretive.
What to Say
AI can help you think, but it cannot replace your judgement or your trusted adults.
If you would not tell a stranger something, do not type it into an AI tool.
When AI gets weird, scary, sexual, or secretive, you show me.
